Page Title: ManageDirect® > Conversion Cart

What you can do on this page:

You may view the bonds that you have entered for conversion to electronic form. The page displays the number of bonds currently entered for your added convenience. You may also choose to add more bonds to this cart using Add a Bond or remove any bonds from the listing.

Bonds with "Matured" status that are converted are automatically redeemed upon release to your account, with the proceeds used the following business day to purchase a Zero-Percent C of I.

HELPFUL HINT

Once you click "Create a Manifest" you cannot return to this cart.

Primary Actions

  • Click "Add a Bond" to add a bond to be converted.
  • Click "Save Cart" to save the bonds that have been added to the Conversion Cart.
  • Click "Return to Previous Page" to return to the previous page.
  • Click "Remove Checked Items" to remove the securities you have selected.
  • Click "Create a Manifest" to view a printable list of the bonds you have entered.

Page Title: ManageDirect® > Manifest Information

What you can do on this page:

You can view the status of individual bonds within the manifest you selected. The status displayed identifies the bond's progress in the conversion process. Your bonds may show one of the following status descriptions:

  • In Progress - bond has been received and is being processed
  • Pending - Customer Service needs additional information from you
  • Returned - the bond is being returned to you as ineligible for conversion
  • Not Received - a bond listed on the manifest was not received
  • Canceled - bond is ineligible due to a previous transaction (a replacement bond was previously issued)
  • Converted - bond has been converted

For additional details, you may select "Display Original Manifest" to view a copy of the manifest you submitted.

Primary Actions

  • Click "Display Original Manifest" to display the manifest you originally created.
  • Click "Cancel" to return to the Manifest Summary.

What you can do on this page:

You may begin the process of entering bonds for conversion to electronic securities in your account. First, select the registration that appears on your paper bond from the list. If the registration on the paper bond is not shown, you can create a new one by selecting the Add a Registration button.

Primary Actions

  • Choose the radio button next to the registration and click "Select Registration and Continue" to use it on the Add a Bond page.
  • Click the "Add Registration" button to add a new registration.
  • Click "Return" to go back to the previous page.

Page Title: ManageDirect® > Edit Conversion Registration

What you can do on this page:

Use this page to edit the registration that you selected on ManageDirect > Conversion Registration List . Registrations should be entered exactly as they appear on the paper bond. If the registration you select to edit is being used on a security that is currently being processed, the registration will not be updated on the security.

Primary Actions

  • Click "Submit" to edit a registration and go to the Conversion Registration List.
  • Click "Cancel" to return to the Conversion Registration List without modifying the registration.

What you can do on this page:

You can add, update, or delete entries you've entered for your Conversion account.

Primary Actions

  • Click "Add Registration" to go to Add a Conversion Registration.
  • Select the radio button for a registration and click "Edit Registration" to update the information in the registration.
  • Select the radio button for a registration and click "Delete Registration" to remove a registration from the list.
  • Click "Cancel" to return to the previous page.

Click the "Print" button and your Conversion Manifest will be printed for you to submit with your paper bonds. You must sign the form and mail it along with the bonds that are listed to the address provided.

  • Click the "Return" button to return to the previous page.

Page Title: Matured Bond Disclosure

What you can do on this page:

You may see this screen if you have entered savings bonds for conversion that have reached final maturity. This page appears when you select "Create a Manifest." You must decide whether or not to include the matured securities in your submission of paper bonds for conversion to electronic form. You may remove them from the Conversion Cart or mail them in for conversion into your account.

HELPFUL HINT

When you convert a matured bond, TreasuryDirect will automatically redeem it and purchase a Zero-Percent C of I with the proceeds.

Primary Actions

  • Click "Return to Cart" to return to the Conversion Cart.
  • Click "Continue" to go to the ManageDirect® > Conversion Manifest.
